Questions
At what age can my child start?+
Under 2toDrive, lessons and the theory exam can begin from age 16, with the practical exam from 17. Exact ages and conditions are set by the government — check the current rules on cbr.nl.
What happens between 17 and 18?+
After passing, your teen drives on a learner permit accompanied by a registered coach (often a parent) until they turn 18, when it becomes a normal licence. The coach must be registered in advance.
Can the coach be an English-speaking parent?+
Yes. The accompanying coach is usually a parent or guardian who registers for the scheme — language is no barrier. We guide expat families through the steps in English.
Can the lessons be in English?+
Absolutely. We teach 2toDrive lessons in English, and the CBR theory exam is available in English too.
